FLEX CONNECTION

The day began with a sound that can only be positively described as the sound of the sea within my left ear hole around 4:30 manipulating me to spend the next hour looking at more croc videos on YouTube and contemplating the usual future arrangements for Ethereal & The Elevated in the form of ideas which are likely to have finished by the time Rachael and Yaffa arrived at 6 to get our one piece waterproof clad selves down to Hengistbury Head.

Rachael had joined a group called Reservoir Frogs 3 weeks ago which seems to have started off as a close knit of friends who enjoy having a quick dip down the beach before they go off to work…..and whilst taking note of that ….that is what was arranged and what happened earlier this morning in Hengistbury Head.

I had flashbacks of my time in Thailand again being transported back to one of several family visits to Hua Hin beach and seeing lots of tiny crabs running up and down the sandy shore with the sun shining brightly and blessing us all.

It made me feel emotional as if I was stuck in time for a few minutes before forcing myself to snap out of it and take my mind back to the present and embrace the now.

After a tasty bite of vegan sausage roll that was shared equally between Rachael, Yaffa and myself ….the Frogs made their way back home giving me some quality time to do some neglected stretching exercises and try to remember what I had learnt from the brief crane and shaolin kungfu classes that I had taken up whilst I was studying at university in Portsmouth in the dawn of the millennium.

As long as I continue waking up early in the morning and go swimming with Rachael and the Frogs….I’m pretty sure I’ll go back to being my flexible self again and perhaps potentially ….and hopefully…..a lot worry-less throughout the rest of the day.

It was nice to have a refreshing shower at Rachael’s too before I followed her to the community fridge meeting her neighbours a long the way and pinching some strawberries from the neighbourhood allotment outside hers before we made it back to my place to successfully finish the song we struggled with yesterday and a new track!

Everything seems back to normal today ….all I have to do now ….is just catch up on some more sleep!
