I’m currently rushing home to get ready…..remember to grab copies of my debut album (wherever the heck they are!) and make my way back to Obsidian to play a booked solo slot that was only arranged a few minutes ago!!
The morning began as usual seeing as I had my phone near my bed meaning I would be checking Whatsapp and Facebook every hour as if by clockwork.
Fortunately, there came a moment when I snapped myself out of it and eventually slithered out of bed in my satin sky turquoise nightie.
Due to open mic night last night and that Rachael and I decided to arrange her recording session for 11:30 instead of 10 as we both needed the extra sleep and I thought it was time to rip up all the cardboard I had in my room left over from my birthday gifts into small pieces and stuff them into black bin bag just in case a friend with a car can help me get that junk out of my room that was blocking me from getting into my wardrobe.
Obviously….that’s a very frustrating thing for a girl like me.
Anyways, thanks to Rachael …she offered to stuff the lot in her car…..and so, she did.
All I have to ‘remove’ from my room now is the electronic drum kit, P.A system and my big A0 promo board that I used to use for busking.
Am I selling them?
Apart from the drum kit ….of course not.
I just think they’d be better off in Manchester for when I am staying over with Ant.
Despite Rachael and I feeling slightly low earlier this morning…..we still gave the session a shot and I am glad that Rachael was still up for it!
We did as much as we could before I asked Rachael to give me a lift to Obsidian to meet up with new friend Phoenix who runs the transgender and questioning group ‘The Real Me’ every Wednesday.
However, it took me a while to open up and it was all thanks to a new member who started the topic on being misgendered as what happened last night ….triggered stuff from within.
After the support group was Alex’s guided meditation group which I confess I wasn’t too keen on when I attended the first session.
This time around ….it was interactive and the ambient dance music made me feel even more happier….so, when the group had finished and Chris suggested I play an impromptu solo gig tonight ….I was over the moon!
