i’m going through another one of those typical Thursday vibes today and I’m hoping an extra hours sleep will have put me straight for the rest of the day seeing as it’s now 16:15 at the time of writing this.
There’s so much that I’d like to mention again but I’m sure I will forget... so I will start with yesterday.
After discussing my memoirs with Ant and that my wishes are to turn them into a book, I theoretically looked through the cosmic files of the back of my mind seeking another autistic person to discuss this with...and my good friend Kelly... whom I have mentioned before…. was the best candidate!
It’s a good thing that you can record voice messages on Facebook messenger and even more fortunate is when the receiver can hear them clearly and answer back instantly.
This system came in handy when Kelly basically dictated the best way to express what I’m after thus leading me to post it in one of Facebook‘s biggest groups for creative people with autism...Aucademy.
One thing always leads onto another and I was super pleased to find out about a free self publishing service called Kindle Direct Publishing which apparently will “reach millions of readers on Amazon”.
I’m super pumped about this and with the hard part sorted….all I need to think about now is how to introduce my memoirs and end them.
In regards to feeling on top of things and having a very good week so far, Rachael and I didn’t want our busking session in New Milton earlier today to kill last night’s buzz.
We had planned to busk for an hour then hook up with Lorna for a coffee and Subway baggie but 30 minutes of being ‘ghosted’ was more than enough!
Due to another punter celebrating their birthday, it was another packed night of live music hosted by yours truly and Rachael... plus it’s nice to know that I am the one that people have to ask if they want to go up and perform.
Even though Racheal and I were there from 4pm, I don’t believe we were that flat out afterwards and Rachael being Rachael... had enough energy for a date after 11 pm!
I’m so proud of her and even more grateful for our friendship for being there with me when I decided to check out a new local support group for trans-people and those who are questioning.
It was really lighthearted and not too serious and claustrophobic like the ones I attended from 2012 onwards.
I’ll definitely attend the future ones and see how I can get involved more as someone who already has a lot of experience up her sleeves.
At 5 pm, Rachael and I attended the next workshop….
‘Exploring Creativity and Wellbeing Through Music’.
To put it shortly, we shall see what the next one is like and hopefully... my hayfever won’t be so distracting.
On that note, I’m pretty sure the Beconase spray seems to be a lot more effective than the tablets I purchased from Poundland and Tesco’s!
Failing that, inserting a bit of tissue paper into my left nostril stops me from sniffing and sneezing and most of all... being vulnerable to coughing which always comes next.
Before last night‘s main event, Rachael and I attended a drawing group and as I finished mine early, I took that time to perform songs from my debut album AND overwhelmingly received some good praise from the audience!
Next time, I hope to try out my backing tracks as Rachael’s went down really well seeing as my guitar sounds too distorted through an amp that I bought last year for about £200!
Looks like I will end up selling that as well as my electric drum kit and rely more on my P.A system instead.
Did you know that P.A system stands for ‘public address’ system?
I didn’t ….until now!
