Whether a certain slice of today was going to happen or not... I know that I would’ve had to keep it confidential anyways until next week...but during the time leading up to the expected one felt like I was holding my breath.
I woke up starting the day a lot more refreshed than yesterday so it was a good thing that I only drank one bottle of Corona on Wednesday night… and no more than that!
I sure don’t need alcohol to have a good time and I will remind myself the next time somebody else wants to buy me another drink.
Rachael came over again around 10 with the usual donation of food from the community fridge… plus, it was nice to have received a payment from Leo earlier today for the purchase of the last ever amp that I will have owned.… until I decide I may need a light, portable one again in the future but for now… the more space in my room to tantalise my minimalist desires the better!
After having had sourdough bread infused with olives and herbs with a sidedish of houmous whilst Rachael wrote up the lyrics for her next song…. we got on with it and due to the pain in my arm making me feel rather ratty this week... I was blessed to find the right samples that not just make things easier for me but those that would also satisfy her soul and ears.
Oh, and I had a bit of time beforehand to add some vocal love to my own song ‘Jasmine Dreams’ which never seems to settle down direction wise since I wrote it in 1998!
Let’s hope this one stays put seeing as this is finally going on my next album!
Well, as far as reflections go….that’s all I can reflect upon today.
Short and sweet with no hints of bitterness.
