Have you ever tried any apps on your smart phone such as Headspace and Calm to guide you with meditation?
I know that I have but I found them quite challenging because I’m already easily distracted by my phone.
Plus, I prefer to absorb the positive energy I get from the real thing whilst it’s actually happening!
One of the sounds that you get within those apps is the sound of rain which sounds like someone gently wrestling bubble wrap.
This is the sound that also happens to have woken me up initially at 6:30-ish before I officially woke up two hours later.
What I love about drizzling rain the most is that it sounds like an old vinyl or perhaps even white noise.
Perhaps that’s why it sounds so soothing to me and even more soothing to combine the images with the sounds as I was already reflecting upon my morning via the kitchen table as I looked out of the back porch double doors.
This can only mean that this is a very good start to an action packed day consisting of having a quick breakfast, getting glammed up in pink PVC for an interview for Tryston’s radio show along with Ant, updating the website, adding vocals to 2 of Ant’s recently acquired trip hop masterpieces and last but not least…. send all the stems of 4 to 5 songs over to him so that he can add bass plus mix and master them and so that we are even closer to uploading ‘Bodhisattva’ at the end of next month!
In other irrelevant news…
I recently went night after night without having any dreams… Until last night.
All I can remember is that I found myself in a big market place somewhere in Thailand.
For some reason, I was fond of running and jumping over things and getting told off for not being considerate towards one of the ladies who was selling cooked food and then towards the end of the dream, I was stood up right but floating over pavement trees and street lights at night.
From what I am aware… this dream tells me that I’m really happy at the moment and I know why!
It’s simply because I wrote my first rap in Thai yesterday and successfully nailed it for Jasmine Dreams.
Now… I can’t wait to perform it live!
I can’t believe it’s already 14:35 but then I suppose I’ve been having a productive day so far getting dressed up and dressed down, watching the first of nine feature lengths of a Thai movie that centres around a gentleman from a rural village in the north-east who moves to Bangkok and that’s where all the light comedy, drama and romance begins.
There is still a whole lot more to do before the day ends but right now.… a quick lunch is more important.
I actually felt slightly uncomfortable wearing my PVC outfit today and I could tell that this is due to feeling anxious but now that the interview with Tryston is over and I’m back into my casual day clothes…. I’m starting to feel better despite feeling like I need to distance myself from my flatmates especially The Kid as we both get VERY sensitive about small matters!
For the first time in my life…. I actually struggled to peel off my false nails today and it’s a good thing that I had some nail polish remover left to loosen up the superglue!
At 21:04, I’m calling it a day!
I tried sending separate tracks of songs twice to Ant but there was a technical issue with Wetransfer which really put me off!
At least I can try again next week… add my vocals to Ant’s instrumental masterpieces and I’ve started letting people know about my solo gig next Sunday via Facebook.
